My name is Kevin Abraham and I’m a Product Marketing Manager based in New York City. Here you will find my blog along with some examples of previous work I have done.
I am a recent graduate from NYU’s Stern School of Business where I was a member of the school’s second cohort of the Tech MBA program. I finished with specializations in:
Tech Product Management
Management of Technology and Operations
Business Analytics
When I think about what I want to do for my career, it’s simple. My goal is to be a bridge between technology and business. Bridging this gap is important in order to decide what is feasible vs. practical when it comes to technology. Coming from an engineering background, I went to Stern to gain business acumen while simultaneously improving my technical skills. Now I want to put what I learned to the test and be the bridge between all stakeholders.
As part of the experiential learning portion of my MBA program I had the chance to work with a team at Verizon’s 5G Lab over the course of six months to help them develop 5G enabled products of the future. Working alongside Verizon engineers, marketers, and product managers, a team and I took a business problem, developed an idea and brought it to life with proof of concept demo.
Prior to business school I worked for Deacom (an ERP software startup), where I held various positions ranging from technical support, internal consulting and product. All positions were primarily customer facing where I picked up one of the most important skills in my opinion, empathy.
I started my career in what I call a hybrid role which was part chemical engineering, part tech. As a simulation engineer, I leveraged technology to model oil and gas pipelines as well as implement leak detection systems. This is where I decided I loved the technology side of things more than the engineering which forever changed my career trajectory
